Suffern PD Promotes Three Officers & Welcomes PO Adams

The Suffern Police Department came out to support their own as three officers received promotions and a new officer joined their ranks.

Detective Sgt. John Mallon, a member of the department since 1981 was promoted to Lieutenant, replacing Lt. Eddie Dolan who retires next week.

Rick Marsh, the department’s firearms instructor and member of the Rockland County REACT Team has been promoted to Detective Sgt. to replace Mallon.

Det. Michael Fennessey, a long time member of the Rockland County Drug Task Force and Past President of the Rockland County PBA was promoted to the rank of Sergeant.

The officers were sworn in my Village Clerk Virginia Menschner as their family members presented and pinned their new badges on them.

The department also welcomes their newest officer Abigail Adams. Adams has worked at the Suffern Police Department for a year and a half as a dispatcher.
