Thanks to the dedicated effort of the members of the Suffern Police Department and the generosity of the community, the families of NYPD officers Liu and Ramos will be sharing more than $20,000 that was raised by the impromptu fundraiser.

Immediately after the last Suffern PD toy drive drop off was made, the t-shirt fundraiser was put into motion.

The original order of 600 shirts was quickly sold out right after Christmas as orders poured in from all over the region.

“I was worried that we wouldn’t sell the original order of shirts” said Suffern Chief Clarke Osborn, “I am overwhelmed by the response that we have received from this community and other communities in the area. The overwhelming support that this effort has received shows that most people are very supportive of the job that law enforcement does each day and I would like to thank everyone involved in this effort from my department, the volunteers and those who purchased the shirts.”

Members of the Suffern Police Department are traveling to New York City tomorrow to present the check.
