I’ve known Stephanie Adwar for many years. As an attorney, I’m well acquainted with her as a colleague and have been impressed by her competence, intelligence, and sense of ethics, all qualities which have served her well as Acting Village Justice.
A delay in filling the position of Acting Village Justice only serves to create an otherwise unnecessary burden on Justice Buonocore and hampers the administration of justice to Suffern’s residents. There’s a reason that Justice Buonocore, a Republican, had been named Acting Justice by a Democratic Mayor and confirmed by a largely Democratic Village Board, and that is because public policy supports a justice system that transcends politics.
I, for one, support the reappointment of Stephanie Adwar as Acting Village Justice and encourage you to do the same.
