New City, NY – Luckily, the rain held out and 110 players were able to golf atthe fourteenth annual United Hospice of Rockland (UHR)Golf Classic presented by Dr. Edward and Raselle Fisher and Dr. Varsha Reddy on Monday, June 9th, at Paramount Country Club in New City. UHR raised over $110,000 and the proceeds from the Golf Classic help UHR to continue to provide compassionate care and support to seriously ill community members and their families.
UHR Special Event Coordinator Mary Jane Bray said, “On behalf of UHR, I would like to express our sincere appreciation to those who helped make this year’s Golf Classic such a wonderful success. The golfers, our generous sponsors, our committee members, our dedicated volunteers, family members, staff and all of our supporters, without their generosity and support, the event could not have been such a success.” A special thanks to Mercedes-Benz of Nanuet for sponsoring the Mercedes-Benz Dealer Championship and congratulations to our two lucky championship winners: Stephen Michaels and Mike Steffaro, who won a trip to the historic Pinehurst Resort in North Carolina!
