Clarkstown Police Department Responded to a Report of Burglar Alarm Activation

On June 7, 2014 at 9:25 PM, the Clarkstown Police Department responded to a report of burglar alarm activation. The responding officers observed an open door of the residence. A check of the location revealed there was no burglar, but there were drugs found lying on the dresser in a bedroom. A further check of the residence revealed crack cocaine, heroin and marihuana. The resident, Jena Vasquez, 25, of New City, was arrested and charged with criminal possession of narcotic drugs with the intent to sell 3rd (felony), criminal possession of a controlled substance with the intent to sell 5th (felony), criminal possession of a controlled substance 7th (misdemeanor), criminal possession of marihuana 2nd; weight more than 16ounces (felony) and criminal use of drug paraphernalia 2nd (misdemeanor).   She was arraigned at Clarkstown Justice Court on June 8, 2014. Vasquez posted the $1000.00 bail and will return to court on June 12, 2014 at 9:30 AM.
